Green hijacks Packer aesthetic for his campaign
The leading Wisconsin Republican candidate for Governor has gone too far…. I was very annoyed to see that Mark Green has hijacked the Green Bay Packers aesthetic for his political campaign. On his website at: http://www.votemarkgreen.com Mark has his family pimped out in Packer gear from head to toe, with Lambaeu Field in the back of both header photos. His campaign colors are green & gold. His constiuent group is called, "Team Green" with a logo that's strikingly simular to the offical Green Bay Packer logo. Is it illegal for a political candidate to ripoff a pro sports team aesthetic for candidates campaign agenda? Either way, it's real tacky, and in poor taste.

Unfortunately, it’s legal. But if he tried to do anything at all similar with the ‘G’, we’d have to call the Packers.
These Republicans running for governor don’t have much flair for originality. The party of LCD keeps it pretty low. Check out the Scott Walker’s Lambeau look on his website’s “issues” page:

One would hope that the Packers franchise would stand up and say that they don’t actually support Mark Green. I would guess that many of the players vote in other states. That and the taxpayers of Green Bay should stand up for the fact that they are still paying for the Lambeau field upgrade and tell Green to take a hike.
“That and the taxpayers of Green Bay should stand up for the fact that they are still paying for the Lambeau field upgrade and tell Green to take a hike.”
What does Lambeau Field and Mark Green have to do with one another here? It’s not like Green single-handedly got the Lambeau renovations on the taxpayer dime. It was actually the Packers organization that sought taxpayer funding for the renovations.
Remember the cult called “Heaven’s Gate”? Their site used a blue Packers-like “G” in their logo. Not to suggest any relation between “Heaven’s Gate” and Green’s campaign. They’re dead. Unlike the campaign.

The green in the logo, the gold, the shape of the logo, all that Packer regalia on Green’s kids …
I think a statement from the Packers public board is in order …
