You won't find much being said about the CO's "officially" because this is one of King David's pet projects. He insists he is saving money by putting unsworn corrections officers into jail positions instead of sworn deputies. Problem is that some of the positions he is putting them in, like booking and release, really do require a sworn officer. CO's cannot arrest people, so when something goes wrong, they have to get a deputy. Additionally, the background check to be a CO is much less rigorous that to become a deputy, which is why they have hired the kind of people that would have relationships with inmates.

But of course, the project is successful. Look at all the money he is saving. (Think he learned a thing or two from Scott Walker??)
