You’re Kidding, Right?
Got a good laugh out of the Journal-Sentinel’s editorial page today (no, it wasn’t from the piece about people plotting to forcibly inflict spoilers on children waiting for the new Harry Potter book — they are scum who should be used as quidditch balls).
According to the paper’s editorial board, Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker “must agree to give on rail.†Well, as long as we’re wishing, I’d like a peaceful solution to the Israeli/Palestinian mess. And a pony.
Remember how the Knights Who Say “Ni!†in Monty Python and the Holy Grail reacted to the word “it Well, that’s how Walker reacts to the word “rail.†Stick the word “light†in front of it, and he’ll act like Dracula confronted with a crucifix.
Walker will never, never, never compromise on rail. Any proposed transit solution that depends on his doing so might as well be the new Harry Potter book, because it’s just as much of a fantasy.
