Watchdog Milwaukee Publisher to team up with Dyskeptic Radio for Podcasting

Back in the 80’s when I ran a BBS out of the closet in my apartment I wouldn’t have imagined that something called blogs would provide a legitimate alternative media source 20 years later but that time has arrived.

There is an argument among radio professionals that a moderate or liberal station would never have a chance in this country. They’re just stupid.

Unfortunately they equate liberal politics with uninteresting in no small part because liberal points of view deal with complexities that conservatives can’t absorb.

So here’s what’s in the works: Dyskeptic radio will team up with Watchdog Milwaukee to provide you with some of the most dynamic, hard-hitting commetary that you could even imagine being available.

We’re going to provide no holds-barred, no sucking up, hard-core commentary with a purpose.

Right now we’re looking at January for a start date. When we start, we hope our loyal readers will hook in and download our podcast.

  • Thank you to Stacy from The Vast Dairy State Conspiracy for organizing Drinking Liberally.

Great news, Jim! Congratulations and thanks to everyone at Dyskeptic Radio!

      Happy Holidays, all!!!

    4. Jason:

OMG, which BBS did you run? I wonder if I called it…

So that’s what you liberal nerds were cooking up at that end of the table! I look forward to the first installment!

The BATCAVE BBS. I was “Alfred”. It was the hottest single node political message BBS in the metro area. At one time I was up to 60+ callers per day and I encouraged them to use offline mail readers and then call in, upload their messages, download responses and read them offline. You could say it was a precurser to todays blogs.

I don’t remember ever calling it, but I think I remember seeing it’s existance. I was on Scoreboard and Wasteland Deset III a lot, and that one dial-in adventure game, the name of which escapes me. And that one chat system, again, I’m blanking on the name. (Cnet?)
