Yes, Scott Walker should follow the law but his lackey, Bob Dohnal, doesn’t think so
Bob Dohnal, Publisher of Wisconsin Conservative Digest attacked County Supervisors John Weishan and Gerry Broderick for demanding that County Executive Scott Walker follow the law.
Go figure.
Weishan and Broderick filed a complaint with the State elections board over Walker’s decision to not include the required “authorized and paid for by Friends of Scott Walker†language at the end of mass-distributed phone calls sent to County residents.
So let’s separate out the facts from the fiction. Dohnal says they’re attacking Walker “over the silliest thingsâ€. But Walker is guilty of breaking the law, not humming in church. State Statutes require everyone, not just Scott Walker, to follow the law. Hiding who is disseminating overtly political messages isn’t something the public favors but it’s one of “the silliest things†Dohnal says.
It makes you wonder, what other laws would Dohnal rather ignore?
Walker got fined $5000 for breaking the law – clearly Dohnal thinks that’s just silly.
For conservative loud-mouths like Dohnal it’s not just about advocating for a particular set of public policies, it’s about being against stuff. There’s all sorts of stuff they’re against — against school redistricting, against detention ponds, against road work, against rail transit. But it’s not just policies Dohnal is against. He’s against Jim McGuigan, Jim Sullivan, Dave Jasenski, Tony Staskunas, Jerry Broderick, John Weishan. He’s just just mad, about one thing after another.
Like the Mad Hatter (without the hat), Dohnal is working hard to divorce himself from reality.
That’s got to be a pretty rough way to go through life.
