Sportsman Website run by Tax Scofflaw
Bob Dohnal, local wingnut for all things Republican and publisher of Wisconsin Conservative Digest (WCD), has converted the front page of his website to an entry portal for visitors to choose from either WCD or the Wisconsin Sportsmen Digest (WSD). The problem is that WSD is run by a tax scofflaw who has appears to be a nut by his own rights.
Wisconsin Sportsmen Digest urges visitors to their site to send in a postcard to 13105 W. Scarborough Drive in New Berlin. A quick reverse lookup shows that residence is occupied by Harold Tonn. A quick search of the State of Wisconsin's Circuit Court records shows that Tonn has had a tax warrant sworn out against him and has had numerous run ins with the law including violating a cease and desist order and many more civil judgements.
So a guy who can't pay his taxes wants us to send him our address so he can advocate on our behalf?
Now I've hunted deer and I've hunted goose and I believe in sportsmens rights but I'm going to hold off from sending my contact info to a guy who thinks laws don't apply to him.

Here's an interesting sidenote from the Kathleen Falk for Attorney General people. I wonder if WSD was one of those front groups created to bash Falk. (Another Swift Boat group?)
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Special Interests and Hidden Donors Fund Attacks
Today JB Van Hollen’s big special interest friends dumped more than $300,000 in unlisted donations into television ads attacking Kathleen Falk, Democratic candidate for Attorney General.
“This is just JB Van Hollen and his special interest cronies trying to bring the failed environmental policies of the Bush-Cheney Administration to Wisconsin,” said Falk Communications Director Adam Collins. “JB Van Hollen’s special interest friends would be perfectly content polluting our fishing streams and devastating our duck blinds if it meant they would earn an extra nickel.”
The organization, Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce (WMC), often supports Republican candidates and attacks Democratic ones. Because of the manner in which WMC funds their “issue” ads, Wisconsin voters will never know who paid for these ads.
“JB Van Hollen is the special interest candidate in this race – he favors them and they favor him,” said Collins. “Wisconsin needs a tough, independent Attorney General. Wisconsin needs Kathleen Falk.”

“Bullet Bob” Dohnal(shoot-off mouth first and ask questions later) is a hypocrite of the first order.
Always spouting-off about ethics. What a self-rightous buffoon.
Bob (and Tom Reynolds) are no friends of sportsmen. Take for example WCD’s Sportsmen’s Conference of a couple of weeks ago. No substance whatsoever. Absolutely devoid of any discussion of habitat improvement, hunting techniques, or game topics. Nothing but a small collection of pathetic, disaffected individuals grousing and bitching about the DNR. Same old worn-out shit.
Only a moron woulf schedule something like this the week before the bow opener. All the legitimate hunters were out in thw woods hanging stands or scouting.
Good thing you do such good investigative reporting. Mr. Harold Tonn no longer resides at 13105 Scarborough. He hasn’t lived there for 5 years. Until actual journalism is being done don’t waste your time. In addition, Mr. Tonn has never been convicted of such offenses as the Wisconsin Circut Court records show. All records were dismissed or filed only. How are you a “watchdog” if you fail to inform the public complete information.
Court records I was referring to had him at that address at the time. If he wasn’t at that address he lied to the courts or to law enforcement.
I never said he was convicted but if you look at most offenses by people who commit crimes in suburbia, I think you’ll find they’re reduced or wiped out by good legal representation. If you’re got the money, you can make a bad record and bad charges go away.
Incidentally, DWD now has a newer case filed against Tonn. It’s a workers comp case which means he hasn’t paid it. Once he pays it I’m sure it will be a closed case. Most responsible employers never get to the point where there has to be a court filing.
