Wisconsin Should Stop Funding the Darfur Genocide

Wisconsin money is being to fund the genocidal massacre in the Darfur region of the Sudan.

That should enrage everyone.

State Representative Fred Kessler has authored a bill to divest the states pension system of any funds or businesses which invest in Darfur. What does this mean? It means money that’s being used to kill people won’t be at the disposal of the government who is systematically working to kill off an ethnic minority.

The amount? $440,000,000 according to the legislative fiscal bureau. It’s true that as a percentage of the states pension holdings, this is a small percentage but it’s a large amount of money by any standards. California has already done this. Wisconsin should follow.

Glad to see our tax dollars at work. Nice!

Not sure it is worth $440 million for the state to become involved in foreign policy.
