		<description>Cudos to Plale for again listening to his constituents and saying "No" to the GOP's gay bashing marriage amendment.  That vote will translate into primary votes and he knows that it won't hurt him with his south side conservative base. There is a lesson in that for all moderates, Democrats and Republicans alike.  Peggy Krusick?  David Cullen?  The Assembly vote on banning civil unions looms ahead.

That said, does Plale deserve a challenge?  I would urge members of the gay and lesbian community to resist the urge to become single issue voters for Plale.

No Democratic senator who celebrated the release of Gov. Doyle's 2005-07 budget by going on WTMJ Radio's Mark Reardon show to HELP the conservative host bash the governor should be surprised that he's got a challenge from the Left.</description>
