Punishing Monogamy; The honest images the GOP doesn’t want you to see
Dehumanizing people who have made the decision to dedicate themselves to one another as life partners has nearly become a science of the GOP but there seems to be a ripple in the political paradigm in Wisconsin. How wonderful it would be if Wisconsin was the first to turn away the anti-family, anti-gay legislation that has swept the nation.
Many others are watching and questioning whether Wisconsinites are as bigotted as other states. Are Wisconsinites willing to turn their backs on families and on people who have made that special committment to one another and only to one another. Will Wisconsinites shun the message of hate and intolerance that others have embraced?
These are questions that will be answered during this falls election in a referrendum designed to divide Americans and even Wisconsinites.
Some new internet ads have shown up that are powerful. They humanize those who have been the victims of the legalized discrimination that disallows gay marriage in all states, including Wisconsin (where gay marriage is already illegal). Let's hope that common sense and reason are the first things on voters minds as they enter the voting booths this November.
