It's clear that Falk is running not only because she can do a good job (and she's well qualified) but because she feels Lautenschlager is going to get whacked by Republicans for her drunk driving conviction. She makes a compelling argument but had the grace to not attack Lautenschlager. But is Lautenschlager truly vulnerable? Wisconsin is a forgiving state and many elected officials have overcome past problems. Add to that the fact that Lautenschlager has an impressive record. Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager: Wow — the crowd loves her.

We have fought horrible legislation that undermines our environmental laws. I have taken on the powerful and joined in historic lawsuits to fight global warming. We have sued over 30 pharmaceutical companies (who gouge for high drug prices). I have earned the endorsement of the Wisconsin State AFL-CIO. I've testified before congress about the skyrocketing cost of natural gas. I've called on my opponents to call for meaningful limits on campaign spending.
