I think some of their perceived defensiveness comes from their lack of understanding about blogs.  it&#039;s the &quot;in thing&quot; to disparage blogs among the traditional media, regardless of knowing what function they serve, which isn&#039;t the be-all-end-all, but a conduit for sharing information faster.  They see conservatives whining about media&#039;s liberal bias and then see actual liberals complain that they aren&#039;t covering stories accurately (which is true) and just assume both sides hate them equally and for the same reason.   Hopefully they&#039;ll discern the difference.</description>
