It hasn't been well publicized, but campaign finance reports are soon due from candidates seeking state offices.  These reports are often telling in larger races like State Senate races where most private sector individual could never afford to self-fund their campaigns.

There's a couple of races we're currently watching, among them the race between Wauwatosa Alderman Jim Sullivan and State Senator Tom Reynolds.  It's looking more and more like Sullivan has a good chance.  The report which will be out shortly will be telling.
