Endorsement: John Chisholm for District Attorney
John Chisholm is well qualified to be the next Milwaukee County District Attorney. His opponent, Lorraine McNamara-McGraw opened her maw this weekend to spout ridiculous rhetoric which shows she lacks both common sense and the temperment to be DA.
At an NAACP forum, McNamara-McGraw questioned whether police officers may have fired the stray bullets which killed a 13 year old shooting victim. There was no evidence which even suggested that could be the case. Her reactionary comment was in keeping with her political background where as an Alderman representing the east side in the City of Milwaukee in the 80's she was known for her anti-student policies.
Chisholm on the other hand has the experience of being a prosecutor. His plan to focus the energies of the DA's office on violent offenders makes sense from a fiscal stantpoint and would keep our streets safer. As an Assistant District Attorney he has garnered the endorsement of current District Attorney E. Michael McCann and the Milwaukee County Deputy Sheriff's Association. He has earned our nod.
