State Representative Curt Giehlow will step down from his seat in the 23rd Assembly district which includes part of Milwaukee's Northwest side and the communities of Brown Deer, Mequon and Thiensville.  Running for Giehlow's seat is businessman Stan Teplin and former TV weatherman Jim Ott. 

It couldn't be an easier choice.

Teplin, a dentist, has a far greater breadth of experiences behind him than does Ott and his issues match the district far more than do the issues of Ott.

For instance, Teplin opposes the NRA backed conceal carry legislation which is opposed by nearly all police associations.  Ott supports it.

Teplin supports 'pay as you go' government.  Ott supports big government telling local government how to spend their money by supporting TABOR, the failed tax freezing plan that nearly crippled schools and public infrastructure projects in Colorado.

Teplin supports embryonic stem cell research.  Ott opposes it.

Teplin is also pro-choice while Ott opposes abortion even in the cases of rape or incest.

As a businessman, Teplin understands the needs of business but as an employer, understand the need for quality health care for his employees.  We support Teplin for Assembly.
