We were pretty accurate in our election predictions this year.  Let's review how we did:

Jim and JD both correctly picked Doyle to win.

Jim picked Sullivan and Kreitlow as winners in the State Senate and correctly predicted the dems would take the State Senate.  JD picked Sullivan and Vinehout to win and predicted the dems would be denied the State Senate.  But he also said Kreitlow would lose to Zien (whoops).  Both Jim and JD incorrectly thought Lehman would go down to McReynolds.

Both Jim and JD correctly said Teplin would lose to Ott.

Both Jim and JD correctly said Falk would lose to Van Hollen.

Both Jim and JD correctly said Sheriff Clarke would win with big numbers.

Both Jim and JD correctly said that Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner would win re-election.

Both Jim and JD missed the boat on the Kagen-Gard race.  Despite our predictions, Kagen thankfully won.

Nationally, both Jim and JD were right that the dems would take the house.  Jim predicted dems would win MO and the GOP would take TN but incorrectly said the GOP would hold onto VA (1/10 of 1%) and deny the dems the Senate.  JD said the dems would be denied MO, TN and VA (1 of 3 correct).

We both correctly said the referrendums (marriage ban and pro-death referrendum) would pass. 

We both nailed it when it came to the referrendums requesting we get our troops out of Iraq.

Both Jim and JD correctly predicted that Chisholm would win big.

So by the numbers, I made 18 predictions and 15 were right for a total of 83% correct.

JD made 19 predictions and 13 were right for a total of 68% correct.

Prediction: JD buys the first round next time.
