Briggs and Stratton will donate $20,000 to the winner of this contest to refurbish a baseball diamond. This year, a local 5th grader (Nicole Bublitz from Brown Deer Middle School) wrote an essay and sent some pictures of the field she would like to see redone (field #4 next to the high school tennis courts). From May 10th to May 21st there is an online voting for the 16 finalists. Only one vote per email address will be counted. Nichole has already been awarded $5000 for being among the 16 finalists, and the money is on the way to the Brown Deer Junior Baseball program. You do not have to be a Brown Deer resident to vote.
