Alderman Michael McGee Jr’s Recall

noose.jpgAlderman Michael McGee Jr. deserves to be recalled.

I've long said that there is no reason to recall a person save for proven malfeasance in office.  McGee is most certainly guilty of malfeasance.

Going on a radio show to advocate the lynching of his political opponents crosses any imaginable line of decency but when it is a public official who represents 50000 people, you have to wonder about the persons sanity.

Malfeasance is defined as:

the performance by a public official of an act that is legally unjustified, harmful, or contrary to law; wrongdoing (used esp. of an act in violation of a public trust).

When McGee advocated the intentional breaking of the law by saying that former School Board member Leon Todd should be hung, it crossed the line.  There is never a good reason for a lynching.

I like Leon Todd. McGee has to go.

You’ve got guts up the wazoo. Who else would be crazy enough to post that picture? It will be your own lefty buddies that come for you on this one. Damn, you do have guts, though.

  3. Rage:

McGee is an embarrassment to the City of Milwaukee. He’s crazy and doesn’t deserve to represent Milwaukee.

  4. Jim McGuigan:

True, but now that the crazies from CRG are busy organizing the recall, there is a foul taint to the whole process.

The crazy thing is he signed his own recall petition. What was he thinking?

Here’s what JSOnline had to say:

“Let’s refresh some memories. There was the revelation that the alderman held driver’s licenses under two names, with a concern that it was done to avoid paying a debt stemming from a traffic accident. Connected to a series of restraining-order hearings, there was an arrest for disorderly conduct and some apparent lying on the stand. He said he hadn’t had an extramarital relationship with a woman who later gave birth to his child. The district attorney declined to prosecute. That doesn’t mean, however, that voters shouldn’t be given an opportunity to render their judgment in a well-deserved recall election.”

  5. Rage:

Interesting. I guess I don’t understand how someone in a position such as him can get away with such things when normal citizens like ourselves would get the book thrown at us. Let’s not forget he also threatened that woman in court right in front of the judge. He keeps getting away with lies and it’s ridiculous. I would like to again say - just because I despise the man so much - that’s he’s an embarrassment to the city.
