Reynolds on Dishonor Roll for League of Conservation Voters
State Senator Tom Reynolds has managed to anger yet another group — the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters. This is an organization that "encourages lawmakers to champion conservation policies that effectively protect Wisconsin's public health and natural resources".
Getting the lowest score of any State Senator wasn't enough. Reynolds was given special mention in their 2005-2006 scorecard. They write:
Out of 132 state legislators, State Senator Tom Reynolds cast the only vote against the Clean Energy Bill (SB 459. Enough said.
I guess it wasn't enough that Reynolds angered the Wisconsin Police Association and got the lowest score of any Senator last month. Reynolds apparently went looking for ways to destroy public health and our natural resources too.
The Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters is a non-partisan group that, it would seem, doesn't mind lauding a legislator regardless of partisan affiliation as was evident of their honor roll of key republican State Senator Neil Kedzie who was lauded for his work to protect groundwater. Others were mentioned for their positive workings in the legislature, but Reynolds was the only Senator to receive an individual special recognition on the dishonor roll.
