In a recent town hall meeting, Wisconsin State Senator Tom Reynolds repeated his assertion that wind energy is a get rich quick scheme.

What does Reynolds know that the Dutch aren’t aware of?  Although Holland is heavily reliant on wind energy, as are other parts of Europe, Senator Reynolds must have an inside scoop.

Professionally, Reynolds runs a printing business.  Another of his clients, Pastor Ralph Ovadahl, points out that Pope John Paul II was a Minister of Satan.  When big scoops like that pass by the Senator’s eyes thousands of times, it’s no wonder the quirky legislator has been hypnotized into thinking it must be true — after all, it’s in print right?  If it’s in print it must be true.

By now, the Senator has made it clear that he’s a vocal opponent of ethanol, another alternative to oil.  While a more cynical columist might think that Reyolds has an overall hate of alternative fuels, we wonder if Reynolds doesn’t have some sort of inside scoop — or then again, maybe the fumes from his printing inks have just caused some irrevocable damage.

Then again, maybe Reynolds is on to something — a liberal conspiracy perhaps?  Maybe there’s a connection to Pope John Paul II, ethanol and renewable wind energy.

This year, when the rest of the State Senators voted for the Energy Independence bill, a piece of legislation supported by all the energy companies, all the environmental groups and even WMC, Reynolds stood virtually alone in his opposition to the bill.  We’re just waiting for his opposition to hydro-electric, bio-diesel, solar energy and hydrogen fuels cells.  Would Reynolds support putting lead back into gas?

Reynolds isn’t exactly environmentally friendly and he’s even more against regulation of any sort.  Perhaps as a child he noshed on lead paint chips?
