I'll admit, I'm guilty — I haven't written about the County budget much lately.  Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker has put together a disaster of a budget once again.  He's decimated parks as well as other services.

Usually citizens can rely on the bloggers to fill in the gaps left by the mainstream media.  This time… well not so much.

We've all been focused on these fall elections.  We've all been focused on watching, analyzing and in a few cases arm chair quarterbacking what has been going on.  In the mean time, there have been some fairly nefarious policies being futhered by Walker and his ilk.

We'll cover them — we promise, but just not to the extent we usually would like to.  Here's the dilemma in blogging; what do you do when you have all of this great stuff to cover and not enough time?  Bloggers don't get paid so it's really a labor of love.  Bloggers usually have real jobs they have to go to so any investigative reporting we do often ends up getting squeezed in or while we're enroute to another destination.

Even the best bloggers who formulate ideas while doing other things still have to find that 15 minutes sometime during the day to bang out the story on they've already given much thought.

Yes, it puts us in a tough spot but we will return to our normal coverage after the fall elections.
