Churches zoned next to Bars and Nightclubs? Great Idea !

Have you ever really given it some thought?

What is wrong with our zoning laws these days? They don’t reflect true need or reality. Have you noticed all those stores and small businesses that are required to have gobs of parking yet they’re never used?

Have you noticed that even some bars and night clubs are required to provide parking but during the day they’re always empty? Have you noticed that most churches rarely ever have a car in a parking lot at night?

These are questions that anyone who has a moducum of understanding of urban planning should be asking themselves.

So how about if we just start looking at allowing businesses that have varying uses to share their resources? We could reduce pavement and eventually this sort of planning could end up reducing flooding. Think about it. A church could share a parking lot with a nightclub.

How perfect is that?

Why, it’s simply a match made in heaven. But seriously folks, your logic is on the button. Let’s get started.
