Judge Annette Ziegler Finally Recuses Herself from Wal-Mart Case
Washington County Judge Annette Ziegler is a bit of a Julie come lately.
Despite her stock holdings in Wal-Mart, Ziegler did not recuse herself from a case involving the mega-chain store, at least until now.
The West Bend Daily News ran a short blurb on the front page of its website saying:
Ziegler recuses herself
A spokesperson for Washington County Circuit Court Judge An-nette Ziegler said Friday the judge has recused herself from overseeing any hearings involving the Hartford Citizens for Responsible Government and Wal-Mart.
Still, Ziegler still has questions to answer. For instance, why did she wait until One Wisconsin Now brought her conflict of interest to light? Why did she wait so long after she was exposed as being a stockholder to recuse herself? Why would she let a pedophile off with a paltry one year sentence?
