Vote for your choice for Democratic Nominee for President

Here at Watchdog Milwaukee we've got a little unscientific poll.  It's simple to vote.  Just click on your choice (see sidebar) to answer the question, "who do you prefer to be the next Democratic nominee for President"?

  1. Bill Stocks:

Here is a tidbit of information I have heard about the new “Superman” of the Democratic Party, Mr. Obama:

Obama’s father, Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. was a radical Muslim who migrated from Kenya to Jakarta, Indonesia. He met Obama’s mother, Ann Dunham, an atheist from Wichita, Kansas at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Obama, Sr. and Dunham divorced when Barack, Jr. was 2. The senior Obama returned to Kenya immediately following the divorce. Dunham married another Muslim, Lolo Soetoro who educated his stepson as a good Muslim by enrolling him in one of Jakarta’s Wahabbi schools.

Wahabbism is the radical teaching that created the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad on the industrialized world.

What’s your take on this, Jim?

  2. Jim McGuigan:

You cannot judge a man by his parents.

UPDATE: This is a bogus e-mail floating around out there. Someone suckered you. There\\\’s a website that debunks these urban legend emails called Snopes.com. You can find the story about how \”Superman\” is disingenuously being smeared. http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/muslim.asp

  3. Bill Stocks:

No. I understand that. I guess the question is how old was he, when he attended? And for how long?

  4. Ben Masel:

You include Bayh, who’s not running, but not Gravel or Kucinich, who are?

  5. Christopher Thomas:

If you look into this you will see it is a nasty smear.

  6. John:

Bill, you should not believe every forwarded email you get. In fact you should believe none of them. You should research this stuff before posting it.

  7. Bill Stocks:

If that is the case, why even read anything on this site?

  8. Bill Stocks:

Oh, and John: Stop off at your local bookstore and pick-up a copy of “Dreams From My Father – A Story of Race and Inheritance” Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you ……and the author is Barack Obama.

  9. John:

    Enough said. Jackass.

  10. Bill Stocks:

http://www.snopes.com is laughable, much like your name- calling. But, then I guess I touched a nerve.

Let me break it down for you:

    1. If you read my original post, I am asking Jim what he thinks of this.
    2. Research is not always valid proof of anything. Especially when your retort to read the book, is to check-out a site where it lists very opinionated sources.
( I personally would put them in the same category as a forwarded e-mail.)
    3. Not once have I said if I am for or against Obama.
    4. I was bouncing a fair question off of Jim, which (by the way), was not addressed to some vulgar dolt much like yourself.

  11. Bill Stocks:

My last post was directed at Mr. John.

    Jim -

I am not drenched in politics like the rest of you. So there are things where I think you are being naive, as well as myself. This is not cause for some moron to start spouting off about something he seems to have a chip on his shoulder about. That is the kind of behavior that makes this site look like a joke.

None of us know much about Obama prior to his college years, and that doesn\’t mean that it is being swept under the rug. However, people have jumped to conclusions on this site much faster if this were a member of the Republican Party.

In order for people like myself to help communities, we need to find a way to communicate through not only intelligent conversation, but also respectful conversation.

John – People like you really piss me off, when your get all riled-up and start talking stupid. When that happens, people become un-interested in anything you have to say. Next time try to be a little more \\\”in control\\\” of your tongue, then maybe I can actually learn something.

  12. Jim McGuigan:

Bill, I notice you keep coming back which means you believe this is one of the better sites. If you didn’t agree you wouldn’t be a regular here. You and I have agreed and we have disagreed. It’s just best if we keep the insults out of the discussion. I disagree that snopes is laughable. It is a legitimate website which seeks to debunk urban legends. Rarely are these chain emails true. Snopes does the work so the rest of us don’t have to.

    Everyone,
I’m asking for the name calling to stop. It’s really not helpful and doesn’t contribute to the conversation.

  13. Bill Stocks:

Jim – I live in this county, and have a love for the city of Milwaukee. That being said, this site offers a lot of insight into the minds of a lot of the “people-behind-the-people”, in the whos who of the Milwaukee Metro area. THAT is why I keep coming back, and with desire to reach out to others in Milwaukee in hopes of building a better city. Unity is a powerful thing when channeled in the right direction.

    As far as Snopes:

Falsani bad-mouths the Republicans quite often.
The Mikkelson’s have openly stated that they don’t always get stuff right, and Barbara Mikkelson has apologized numerous times for inaccurate information, so for sake of argument, let’s say they offer a perspective that is based on facts sometimes, and partial facts other times.

John – I apologize for calling you a vulgar dolt, it’s just that you attacked me personally without just cause. I will not stand by and take that from anyone.
Please understand my question was to see what insight Jim could give me on the matter.
