I recently heard that there was some speculation that County Supervisor John Weishan was running for County Exec and decided to look into where it came from. Then I heard who the reporter was — Steve Schulze. That was an “oh I see” moment.

I’ve written on this site before about Schulze and have called him out for being one of the worst reporters working for the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. In short, this instance of substandard reporting is no exception. According to Weishan, his comment to Schulze was akin to “never say never” and made no mention that he was actively considering a run.

Schulze took “never say never” and turned it into a possible run for the office of County Executive.
