Darling Robocall uses Liar / Adulterer to Smear Wasserman
I just received a robocall (recorded message call) from State Senator Alberta Darling blasting away at State Representative Sheldon Wasserman.
The crazy part is who she chose to do the talking — it was the discredited Republican mouthpiece that infects our local radio airwaves, Charlie Sykes. As I listened, I found myself asking, why in the world would Darling choose a man who decided that an adulterous affair was more important than his wife and his own children? Why, oh why, would I give any credence to this same man who has been blasting away at Barack Obama for this William Ayer‘s thing that we all know is untrue?
Judging from the lawn sign pairings out there, Darling is already in trouble. She can’t get anyone to put up a sign that doesn’t already have a McCain/Palin sign up. Now she is actually spending money so that she can make these automated calls using the words of a known adulterer and liar to attack Wasserman.
I’m sorry but as a man, I think it’s deplorable that Sykes would put his own physical urges ahead of his wife and his children. To me, family is important and clearly, it is to Wasserman, a father of three, also. Why Darling would cast aside family values to throw her lot with an adulterous liar is beyond me.
I understand that Alberta must be frustrated. Her political journey has taken her from being moderate to being an extreme neo-con and despite this transformation, she still doesn’t have the reputation of being an effective State Senator. But isn’t there a time and place where she can just look at the positions she has given up and the good people she has left in her wake only to find her new political bedfellows just aren’t worth it? What kind of political epitaph does she want associated with her years as a legislator? Really, how much integrity will she continue to toss to the wind?
This recent attack on Wasserman is just really, really sad.

The Government of The Peoples Republic of China has unanimously
endorsed McCain/Palin for President of the United States.
“They are our kind of leaders!” says a Government spokesperson.
“They understand that business and the government should be in control,
not the silly workers, or ‘people’ as they sometimes call themselves.
Also, we understand the Republic concept. It is Democracy we find
distasteful.”
A leading General, who wished to remain anonymous, had this to say
about President McCain: “We planted many post-hypnotic suggestions
in our former P.O.W.’s mind and we are beside ourselves with
anticipation at having the opportunity to trigger them and have control
of the white house without even having to wage a war…”
“And if that fails,” a second anonymous official pipes in “it’s not like
George W. Bush did not already sell it to us anyway.”
P.S. We sure hope that Sarah Palin and her corrupt comrade Ted Stevens dream of
a free Alaska comes true someday so we can do serious business.
Just got that robocall 45 minutes ago. Interesting how in the Belling robocall a week or two ago Darling talked about Belling’s LOUD rant. This time it’s an anonymous voice talking about what Sykes had to say. Is she trying (unsuccessfully) to distance herself from her desperate tactics? Belling, then Sykes, who’s going to call me next for Darling, James T. Harris, Sarah Palin????
Kids… Wasserman is done. Quit fooling yourselves.

I always get a kick out of the holier than thou spoutings of Charlie Sykes. Cheated on wife #1 with #2. Cheated on wife #2 with #3. Umm, Charlie, how did you defend your stance on Bill Clinton’s affair when you were doing the same?
I still remember when Charlie and I were UWM students and he was getting signatures for his run as a DEMOCRAT in the State Assembly. He is a hypocritical gasbag; however, he is an evil and hateful gasbag who never had to do much in the way of hard labor one day in his life. Talk about the elites of the world.
Alberta Darling has wasted her career, and her position as a leader, by just floating along, never leading, just hoping to catch the wave to carry her back to shore. Looks like the waves have calmed down, and she is now foundering in the middle of the water, and beginning to panic she will never get back to land. Must be the time to swim, Madame Darling.
