Yes, Politics above productivity. The left does this more often than anybody.

Point 1: Solar Power – I grew up in the 70′s and the solar panel technology is not much better now than back then.

Point 2: Ethanol is a mandated failure. Any time you mandate something, that TELLS the people what they want, rather than letting a free market dictate and demand dictate. Hybrid cars, for example, were underperforming cracker boxes ten years ago. Now, they perform well and are in the price range of other cars. Hmmm, market demand, NOT mandates got us here.

Point 3: Wind farms – yet another mandated failure. For people to lose the value of the property they bought LONG before the government decided to snatch up that land right from under the people’s noses, with no just compensation, only to then have the land owner’s land drop severely in value. But, then again, the wind farms are not in the leftie’s back yard, so “out of sight, out of mind”.

Once again, politics over productivity and even above common sense.

I have been getting considerably depressed over legislatures deciding against payday loans and our current economy. It seems like industries in every corner are in need of emergency cash as the unemployment rate continues to rise. Therefore, I decided to go on a search for something that offers hope. Apparently, the recession somehow provides increased profits to some industries such as discount, retail and fast food. Particularly, places with dollar menus are doing very well. There is hope for the better. If you are tired of listening to the same depressing story, find out which industry is thriving economically and why they are not in need of emergency cash on the payday loans blog.

I’ve heard some pretty offensive things this election cycle but this one counts as just petty thinking.

As for your last comment Matt — Milwaukee did get shut out of any leadership position of real power.

I don’t have any insight as to why, at least for the moment. If and when I hear something, I’ll pass it along.

I think that e-mail you received is going around various political circles as a joke. I do not believe it is an actual company letter.

I have received it from friends both Democrat and Republican, so I think it just started with someone who thought they were funny.

Nobody is bashing Obama supporters like the State Senante and Assembly Democrats. They sure love them some Milwaukee money, and they sure love them some Milwaukee votes (who’s the governor– who’s the President), but they get one little whiff of power and turn into the same power hungry country hillbillies that run the Republican party.

Not one Milwaukee Democrat in leadership? What the hell is wrong with these guys? Been in power 2 days and already split the party.

I’m beginning to think this is an urban legend, even though it’s not yet on Snopes. I received the same email, but the company was called “JOOA Corp.” The owner’s name was still Ward, but no “Smith.” Regardless of its origins, it’s definitely frightening thinking. I’m also not sure of the legality of firing employees based on their political beliefs.
