FYI - "Oriental" is not a country or region Here's a simple solution to our reliance on foreign...rely on DOMESTIC oil...like that which could be found in Alaska or just off any of our coasts. France generates 75% of their power from nuclear power plants, why can't we? We send some of the oil that we import to foreign countries to be refined. Why? Because we haven't built an oil refinery in this country since the early 70s!!! And you wonder why we're reliant on foreign sources for oil and oil refining. Oriental flag? We send some of the oil that we import to foreign countries to be refined. Why? Because we haven’t built an oil refinery in this country since the early 70s!!!

Our greed for top pay and benefits has led to the transfer of jobs overseas where $7.00 an hour is top pay. Could it be the greed we are so hated for overseas has become our downfall? Could our dependence on foreign oil cripple us completely? What major event has to happen for the US to see we need to become more self-reliant?
